At Johnny Dare's Birthday Bash at the City Market, Coal Chamber took the stage to angrily explain its decision to prematurely pull the plug on its performance, then one of the band's members broke into fisticuffs with local promoter Jeff Fortier. With fellow crowd-favorite Slipknot having refused to take the stage earlier in the night because of safety issues, the mood turned hideously ugly. Only Dare's diplomatic skills kept this nonshow from degenerating into "Worst Local Riot." --AM
