The Bottleneck

Published on October 19, 2000

Home to the most diverse concert schedule in the region, The Bottleneck's typical week might include a trance DJ, a hip-hop crew, a blues-guitar sensation, a local rockabilly trio, and a pummeling death metal band. The midsize club opens its doors to some of alt-rock's elite (Mr. Bungle, Sleater-Kinney) and plenty of lower-wattage buzz bands while consistently booking area acts as either headliners or openers. The ticket prices are low, and the quality level is almost always high, so it's not much of a gamble to stop by The Bottleneck when you're looking for enthralling live music, regardless of genre.
