Sadly, the hotel bars in Kansas City aren't quite the hip, trendy destination spots that they are in other cities, which attract guests and locals alike. The chances of meeting a hot, nomadic business traveler with a corporate charge card while being within stumbling distance of a bed is somewhat reduced in the virtually nonexistent KC hotel bar scene. However, for sheer aesthetic value, Skies is the best of the bunch. Its revolving floor never ceases to thrill even native Kansas Citians, and it offers a stellar panoramic view of town. Its lounge area, with comfortable plush chairs and bench seats, provides a romantic place for drinks or dessert -- perfect for cuddling up with old or new friends alike.
