Republican Senator Kit Bond's November 7 Election Night show -- his raw fury! his spewy indignation! his legal threats! -- after a St. Louis judge allowed polls to stay open late in that heavily Democratic city was reminiscent of the 1930s, when people must have felt like voting actually mattered. When Bond runs for re-election in 2004, his temper tantrum should make great TV ad footage -- for both sides.
