When John Belushi's Jake Blues gets out of jail in The Blues Brothers, he's shocked to see his sibling Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) pull up in an old cop car. "Well thank you, pal," he says. "The day I get out of prison, my own brother picks me up in a police car." Then Elwood slams the accelerator down, rockets over a raising drawbridge and says, "It's got a cop motor ... it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks." The lesson: To outrun the cops, snag one of their cars. Kansas City Police Car Sales is loaded with punchy Crown Victorias and Caprices that have finished their tours of duty and are primed for a good caper. But don't tell the owner what you have in mind. He's an eleven-year veteran who is still a state-certified and commissioned officer.
