Best Way to Get in Shape Without Hating Every Minute of It

Hyatt Hotel Fitness Club Membership

If you are a workout fanatic, you won't be impressed by the Hyatt Health Club and Pool. You will scoff at the measly supply of machinery and the absence of certain must-have weight-room components. But guess what? You, quite obviously, aren't the one at risk of hating the process of getting in shape. People like you, who intimidate the crap out of people like us, don't exercise at hotels. For us, "Maybe I'll go to the hotel tonight" is more likely to see follow-through than "Maybe I'll go to the gym tonight." At the Hyatt, there's not a spandex-wearing grunter in sight. If the ethos is "something is better than nothing," then the handful of stationary bikes, treadmills and Stairmasters, all parked in front of a TV, will suffice. Plus, there are free weights, mats for sit-ups and -- this is the best part -- a hot tub. Membership, especially in the summer months, is worth it just for access to the rooftop swimming pool overlooking Crown Center: You bribe yourself to work out for twenty minutes so you can use the pool for the rest of the afternoon. And don't hesitate to use the lotion in the bathroom -- it's really nice lotion. Of course, no perk equals the thrill of getting to keep a hotel key in your wallet at all times.
