Loud, edgy, manhandled guitars. A collective sense of purpose. The willingness to say what they mean and mean what they say. Yeah, Switchfoot: four San Diego boys who fall somewhere in between causehead politicos and sensitive rockers. But sometimes that's where you find the best music. Switchfoot has proven it can hold its own with the indie groups pawing each other for a sneak in the spotlight. But wait, there's more! In a world bustling with campaigns and crackdowns, why not associate yourselves with a movement, speak out for Third World underdogs and comment on the human condition? You, too (U2, ha!) can be like Switchfoot. Find a pet project, play good music and refuse to admit that you sell anything to anyone. Rinse. Repeat.
