People just don't get dressed up on the weekends anymore. Sure, there are still plenty of suits on the Plaza, but Westport clubs suffer from crass displays of near-nudity and vinyl shirts that outshine SUV headlights. Higher Ground Entertainment's First Friday events, monthly affairs that target the urban elite, dictate classier attire -- no sleeves, no slacks, no dice. Dignified dress aside, these aren't stuffy, wine-and-cheese affairs. DJs spin hip-hop hits and deep-soul grooves as dapper dancers pack venues such as hotel ballrooms, swanky reception halls and even Arrowhead Stadium's Pavilion.
