Best Saturday Morning Breakfast Spot

With places such as Cascone's Grill and the City Diner, the River Market neighborhood has never been at a loss for Saturday breakfast joints. But the newest hangout is in many ways the most comfortable, and its hipness quotient is practically off the charts. Six months ago, the saloon's charismatic owner, Harry Murphy, threw open the honky-tonk's doors on Saturday mornings and started serving up reasonably priced platters of biscuits and gravy, French toast, huevos rancheros, and eggs with hash browns. The coffee is strong, Patsy Cline and Ernest Tubb are on the sound system, and if you want an ice-cold Falstaff with your quiche, nobody's gonna say a word about it. Even better, Harry's serves the breakfast menu until 2 p.m., so you can stumble in bleary-eyed at the shank of the day and still get eggs, bacon and a yard beer.
