What happened to us, Better Than Ezra? We used to be so close. I earned my first black eye defending your honor. I was at your concert -- back when your sweet sounds were pumping through my heart and across the radio waves -- and some methed-up skank at the show started talking trash about you. I knocked her ass to the ground in the name of catchy pop music and cheap draft beer. She jumped back up and beat the shit out of me, but it was fine, because I knew you were there for me. But then you became distant. I couldn't find you anywhere on the radio dial right when I needed you most. I thought you were gone for good. And now you want back in my life? You think you can offer me a new live album and things are just magically going to be all right? You think that a greatest hits compilation due out in December is going to make up for lost time? I just don't know if I can do this again. But I'm willing to try.
