Mondays at the Peanut aren't nearly as big as Sundays, but there's still hip-hop and there are still hot wings. Whether DJs Mythik and JD Flow provide instrumentals for volatile open-mic nights and funk-soul dance parties or glowstick-waving crunk rappers tear the place down, Monday's Jump Off is a far cry from its backpacker-friendly Sunday-night counterpart. The B-boy crowd is noticeably missing on these Mondays, providing a double-date-friendly environment without the fear of getting kicked in the head by an air swipe. Mythik and JD have built a good chemistry on stage, staying grounded with their preferred underground hip-hop and essentially creating a crunk-appreciation night.
