“God Knows I’m Trying” by the Rounders, fromWish I Had You (Blind Pig):

Oklahoma City's the Rounders whip up a soulful mojo of hill-country stomp blues, Southern rock and ragtime melody. The hard-touring quintet joined the respected company of blues label Blind Pig for its latest LP, Wish I Had You. The accomplished collection offers nuggets for the jam camp (fans of Derek Trucks and Widespread Panic) with a few dirtier rave-ups à la the Black Keys. Hints of Tom Waits and John Fogerty linger throughout, informing the sound of a band with strong melodies and lyrics that turn just enough tricks.
