It takes a bold personality to pull off a Peggy Noland outfit. The local fashion designer favors bright colors, full-body leotards and eye-boggling patterns. It’s not exactly workwear — unless your work involves being the center of attention at, say, a rock show. Hence, Noland’s emerging status as a clothier of indie musicians, including Kianna Alarid, lead singer and bass player of Omaha pop outfit Tilly and the Wall. She and the band play tonight at The Granada (1020 Massachusetts in Lawrence, 785-842-1390). Alarid came into Noland’s store at 124 West 18th Street the first month it was open. “The odd part of the whole story,” Noland tells the Pitch by e-mail, “is that the top I spotted her spying was designed specifically with her in mind. My dad and I had just seen a Tilly and the Wall show, and it was very visually inspiring ... I just imagined them riding around in their tour bus, making each other friendship bracelets. I went home, made some clothes, and they ended up on her! Strange, strange circle.” And it will be completed again if Alarid sports any Noland originals tonight. Tickets cost $12.
