Today, load up the kids and head to Bonner Springs for the Family Values Tour! The gates at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (633 North 130th Street) open at 1:30 p.m. By 3, you’ll be rockin’ to some divinely inspired rock jams. Oh, wait. That’s what will happen later this month during the Starlight Theatre’s Rock the Light Festival. Ironically, original Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch would feel more comfortable there these days. He writes about how he quit Korn and meth and fell in love with Jesus in a new book called Save Me From Myself. Head’s old bandmates have yet to succumb to the grace of God, though, so they just keep serving up more twisted Family Values on the tour they founded in 1998. This year, Korn shares the bill with co-headliner Evanescence. Atreyu, Flyleaf, Trivium and Droid also perform. Tickets range from $15.99 to $65.50. Call 913-721-3400.
