If you can't have a fight without rules, the next best thing is a fight with a huge variety of permissible techniques. Fans of striking, kicking and grappling can come together tonight at 7:30 for the Elite Fight League Military Appreciation Night at the Missouri National Guard Armory (7600 Ozark Road). Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit the U.S. Troop Support Foundation, a national charity that provides care packages and assistance to military personnel. There will be 15 mixed-martial-arts bouts on the No Surrender card, including local fighter Josh Tully defending his EFL middleweight title and Derek Bohi fighting Brandon Ryenbold for the heavyweight title. The card also features Missouri National Guardsman and welterweight Sgt. Jason Ivey. Tickets cost $20 to $85. The first 50 service members dressed in uniform get in free by showing a military ID. Call 816-922-5071 for details.
