Porn Again

To each porn lover, his own.

Free Willy

I just finished readin' "Sex Police," and I got a few things to say. To start with, who do these people think they are? I mean, really. Pornography is an American institution. Just because these holier-than-thou "Christians" (I use that term loosely) can't enjoy a little sexual dysfunction doesn't mean we all gotta be punished. If they really want sumthin' to protest, how about the Bushit administration and this so-called "war" we're in? Yeah, I said it!

Before I take it back, I'll add more to it. People will always like porn and sex toys. Granted, underage porn should NEVER be sold or distributed anywhere. But as far as anything else, I couldn't care less. If sumone wants to fuck an animal, it's their choice. I ain't gotta watch it. Also, damn-near everyone has a computer. If they want it, they'll find a way to get it. That's human nature.

Everyone comes from different backgrounds. I like lesbian porn. Sumone else might like hermaphrodites. We are all human beings, and GOD gave us Free Will. I'll be damned to have it taken from me by sumone I'll probably never meet.

Here's a tip for all y'all who have a problem with porn: GET A LIFE! And as for the churches, preach The Word of GOD and let people make their own choices. PLUS (peace, love, unity, soul),

Make Peace

I applaud Peter Rugg for his courage and how he delved into the realm of evil. Is it not evident that ignorance is evil's prominent highway?

Everyone should get off their butts and initiate peace and harmony. Unfortunately, most people, myself included, have no idea how to initiate this peace now that the world is filled with so many fanatics and extremists. Consequently, we persist in our apathy while other entities persist in their radical behavior.

Western Culture

Many thanks to The Pitch and reviewer Dana Self for your coverage of Looking West, our current exhibit at the Belger Arts Center. We're very proud of this exhibit, and we're glad The Pitch is helping get the word out. With 19 artists and 80 works in the show, we feel that everyone who visits will find something to like.

The curator for Looking West, Evelyn Craft, set out to make our visitors reflect on terms such as "the West" and "cowboy." It's obvious from Self's review that she has succeeded. As a Kansas Citian, I was especially pleased that Ms. Self chose to give a pat on the back to local photographers Wes Lyle and Larry Schwarm. Both men are wonderful artists and longtime contributors to the local photography scene.

Thanks again to The Pitch for reserving space every week to document the thriving Kansas City art scene!
