Family Value

Published on November 29, 2007

You probably already know this, but the first Sunday of the month is Family Fun Day at the Kansas City Museum (3218 Gladstone). Not that the museum has a specifically family-unfriendly day, but with all of the First Sunday activities — hands-on projects, multicultural performances and musicians — the museum really goes the extra mile for you and the small child dangling from your Baby Bjorn toddler-suspension sling. Today's "Winter Holidays Around the World" activities will include traditional holiday songs from various countries, holiday-themed crafts and holiday stories told by Joyce Slater. Best of all, family groups are admitted free on First Sunday — otherwise, admission is a suggested $2.50 donation for adults or $2 for seniors and kids. Kansas City Museum
