You probably already know this, but the first Sunday of the month is
Family Fun Day at the Kansas City Museum (3218 Gladstone). Not that the museum has a specifically family-unfriendly day, but with all of the First Sunday activities — hands-on projects, multicultural performances and musicians — the museum really goes the extra mile for you and the small child dangling from your Baby Bjorn toddler-suspension sling. Today's "Winter Holidays Around the World" activities will include traditional holiday songs from various countries, holiday-themed crafts and holiday stories told by Joyce Slater. Best of all, family groups are admitted free on First Sunday — otherwise, admission is a suggested $2.50 donation for adults or $2 for seniors and kids.
