One80 is the only venue in Westport that plays house music on Saturday nights. Tyrone Blea brings deep, soulful, jazzy house to the club each week. Though the place hardly turns jackfest 2007, the soothing electronic music provides a fine backdrop for socializing. The usual crowd here is older and more mature than at most places in Westport on the weekend, and the DJ's music sets an agenda of urbanity rather than drunken debauchery. If there's ever sweat soaking through anyone's clothes, it's usually when Blea drops a Basement Jaxx record. Saturday nights at One80 haven't exactly topped the destination list for fans of electronic music, but that's changing.
