Cure for a Commerce Hangover

There you are, wrapping up a long day of shopping in Wyandotte County. Your feet hurt, your arms are laden with oversized bags, and you're wondering exactly where you parked the car in the never-ending lot. Then, suddenly, you're overcome with the urge to enjoy a Pabst Blue Ribbon while basking in the dulcet tones of Bad Company.Luckily, the new late-night happy hour at Yard House is designed to satisfy this particular craving. Located in the shrine to American commerce that is The Legends, Yard House now offers a happy hour from 10 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. In that two-hour span, you can order from the ridiculously large draft-beer selection and choose from a number of half-price appetizers, including pizzas and miniburgers. So end your weekend foray into capitalism with a late-night round at Yard House (1863 Village West Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas, 913-788-4500). Where else, after all, can you get a beer called "Stone Arrogant Bastard" and some sweet Steely Dan?
