Around here, it's been a long time since a memorable party has been revisited with a sequel. Rehashing this old tactic of rave promoters is one Mr. Nuro, with his Winter Wonderland II, the follow-up to last year's wildly successful event. Upstairs, DJ O.E. opens up with retro. Then Madame E and JAH take over. The Kings of Rock come next with rock remixes, and Tactic and J Fortune close out with exclusive remixes and scalding drum-'n-bass rhythms. Meanwhile, seven other DJs preside downstairs: Josh C and LC open with techno and house, respectively, then the Control Freeks break out their brand of faster, funkier house. Next, Miss Michaela throws down Chicago house to a dance floor that's guaranteed to welcome her home. Closing out downstairs are Jack and Jill, with their first tag-team set in over a year. Perhaps it's just a coincidence that the acronym for this party is "WWII," but here's to bombs getting dropped on all levels this Friday.
