Don't count us out yet. The fashion world might not revolve around Kansas City, but local designers, stylists, models and musicians are proving that this cowtown isn't so 10-years-ago anymore. Hosted by Creative Talent Agency, the Rock N' Fashion Show at Crosstown Station (1522 McGee, 816-471-1522) mashes up fashion and music in a runway show of special collections from six KC style definers, including Take a Halliday (whom Pitch readers named Best Up and Coming Designer in last year's Best of Kansas City issue). The 21-and-older event also boasts a VIP area with T-shirt printing and airbrush tattoos. The show starts at 9 p.m. and ends with a full set from indie rockers the Life and Times. Admission costs $7 at the door; pay $12 for the VIP treatment. Crosstown Station Take a Halliday http://www.thelifeandtimes.com/
