Some saucy styles are making their way to eastern Jackson County by way of a new boutique in downtown Lee's Summit. PopHearts sells lingerie, clothing and accessories by independent (and mostly local) designers from the flagship retail space in the Vogue Building (311 S.E. Douglas). PopHearts is the brainchild of 28-year-old Gabriel Garner. She peddles her own line of lingerie and "body-conscious basics" — MirrorQueen, which is geared toward the pre-thirtysomething Suicide Girl. And she also sells designs by Take A Halliday and Cali Roberta. PopHearts presents its wares in a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, with cupcakes and the sounds of DJ Ace Fadal. Be one of the first 10 people to spend $30 and score free sunglasses or underwear from Dirty Bandits. And over-21 ladies can stay for cocktails for the last hour. Call Garner at 816-678-1243 for more information. PopHearts
