100 Percent Cowboy

No, I'm not one of them posin' pretty boys/I'm an everyday, all-the-way, 100 percent cowboy. That's what country crooner Jason Meadows insists on title track and first single off his album 100% Cowboy. The Oklahoma farmboy does seem to have some right to the claim. He was an active member of the Future Farmers of America in high school and made money on the side as a team roper. There's even a song on his Web site that celebrates the FFA. But careerwise, Meadows gave up farming and the rodeo long ago to be a music man. And that dream came to a head in 2005 when he made it to No. 2 on the TV show Nashville Star. Tonight, he comes to Knuckleheads Saloon (2715 Rochester, 816-483-1456), but not on a horse. Tickets cost $10. Knuckleheads Saloon
