Here's some trivia you won't hear on Jeopardy: What 1970s "rock-and-roll revivalist comedy group" was featured in the movie Grease, had a syndicated TV variety show — one episode featured the Ramones as guest stars — and performed at Woodstock? Just ask Kansas City native "Screamin' Scott" Simon for the answer. Simon has been a member of Sha Na Na since 1970. He joined the group shortly after it played Woodstock (where the payment was a $300 check that bounced) and kicked off a nostalgia craze for the doo-wop sound of the 1950s. Simon's gig has been a long one. He still tours with the group, which includes founding members Donny York and Jocko Marcellino. Simon, son of former Pitch staffer Miriam Simon, brings his act back home for the Once in a Blue Moon fundraiser for the University Academy charter public school (6801 Holmes). The 7 p.m. concert is at the school. Call 816-412-5983 for more information. Sha Na Na
