Duality is often associated with disparity, but in the case of PEZ, a brand famous for being both a brick candy and a line of toy candy dispensers, collectors worldwide spend enough dough for the dichotomy to prosperously synch up. Learn all about the candy and its container at a screening of PEZ Heads, followed by a talk with Shawn Peterson, author of the Collector's Guide to PEZ: Identification and Price Guide, at the Kansas City, Missouri, Public Library's Plaza Branch (4801 Main).PEZ Heads is a documentary that guides viewers through the candy's production and explains the craze through interviews with PEZ collectors, celebrities and PEZ USA's president. Peterson's talk will elaborate on PEZ's popularity as a candy-dispensing collectible. The screening is at 1:15 p.m., followed by Peterson's talk and book signing at 3 p.m. Call 816-701-3407 or see kclibrary.org.
