Gracing the central green at the Kansas City Art Institute today are a 1917 Detroit Electric car, a 1932 Pierce-Arrow Model 54 Convertible Coupe and a 1959 Aston Martin DB Mark III, along with many other shiny beauties. The 2008 Art of the Car Concours brings a collection of classic, vintage and other special cars belonging to Midwest collectors to the KCAI campus (4415 Warwick) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 and children 10 and younger get in free. All proceeds go to the Art Institute's scholarship fund. For more information or to volunteer, contact Robin Jess at or 816-516-7086.
