In a world where ecosystems often suffer in the name of human comfort, the organizers of one Lawrence festival are working to level out the economy of living well on Earth through realistic, responsible practices. Seek a sustainable lifestyle today at the Little Green Festival at South Park (12th Street and Massachusetts, Lawrence). Organizers describe the event as a gathering where people can share ideas for better living. Artists and musicians concerned for the Earth will be on hand. Also present will be 100 vendors, natural crafts, eco-friendly products and speakers advocating green ways of living. Pet owners can bring their critters to a special animal area, where a vet will answer questions and give away prizes. The all-ages outdoor event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
