With the Royals' annual nose dive making it easy to score cheap tickets to Kauffman Stadium, the Kansas City T-Bones have one less excuse to get people to the ballpark. The lovable has-beens and could-have-beens of the Northern League must instead rely on that ol' Bill Veeck magic — i.e., wacky corporate promotions. Take, for instance, the Toyota Air Guitar Rock Contest (because nothing says "rock" like a Tundra ) and Verizon Wireless karaoke (if I win, can I switch to AT&T?). Truthfully, the best reason to go to a T-Bones game is to entertain the kids or trick your wife into dinner at Hooters. And nothing says "I'm sorry, baby" like a shopping spree at Nebraska Furniture Mart. All this and a chance to heckle Ken Harvey can be yours for the low, low price of $6 when the T-Bones take on the Joliet Jackhammers at 7:05 tonight at Community America Ballpark (1800 Village West Parkway at the Legends, 913-328-2255).
