Blind For an HourBy Crystal K. WiebePublished on December 24, 2008 at 2:04amIf you have today off and are sick of looking at your family members, consider this special bonding opportunity: a tour through an exhibit at Union Station (30 West Pershing, 816-460-2020) that simulates blindness. Dialog in the Dark offers a glimpse into the world of the visually impaired with elaborate walk-through scenes that force sighted folks to rely on their other senses and a cane to get around. A blind or visually impaired guide leads each tour and will prompt a discussion at the end about how the experience felt. Warning: You will bump into people. Can't go today? The exhibit runs through March 29 and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Whenever you go, arrive before 5 p.m., when the last ticket is sold. Admission costs $22. Union Station glimpse into the world of the visually impaired
