Some people like to build models. Others enjoy playing with action figures. Then there are gamers who roll dice and role-play. What unholy force could bring them all together? Find out today during the Heroscape tournament at Pulp Fiction Comics and Games (129 Southeast Third Street in Lee's Summit). Heroscape is a customizable strategy game starring warriors ripped from different time periods. Players build battlefields and armies and pit them against other players' picks in fantasy combat. The tournament operates Swiss style, with players paired based on skill level, over four to five rounds. The all-ages tournament begins with enrollment at noon, followed by game play at 1. Admission requires a Heroscape set and the purchase of a booster pack. The winner receives a $40 store gift card; three runners-up win $20 gift cards; and all other entrants get $3 gift cards for playing.
