If Mom wanted a motorcycle for Christmas, consider taking her to see some freestyle motocross. Because nothing like a bag of cotton candy and a front-row view of tattooed studs clearing 70-foot gaps on off-road bikes can better say, "I wish I could have bought you a Harley." Motocross has been on steroids ever since the sport's acrobats figured out how to do back flips, an innovation that once seemed impossible but is now commonplace. Tonight's 7:30 p.m. motocross throwdown at the Sprint Center (1407 Grand, 816-949-7000) features riders from the IFMA Freestyle Motocross team, which is among the best in the business. Tickets start at $10 for children ages 12 and younger and $20 for adults.
