Wax meets sax tonight at a Blue Note Records Listening Party, in the Blue Room of the American Jazz Museum (1600 East 18th Street) from 5 to 9 p.m., with jazz icon Bobby Watson and DJ Miles Bonny. Local Blue Note Records aficionado Elmer Jackson will add to the experience by sharing his wealth of knowledge about the great jazz label. Bonny will take requests from 7 to 9 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to share their favorite Blue Note recordings from the past 70 years. The event is free, but RSVP to Dennis Winslett at 816-474-8463 or dwinslett@kcjazz.org.
