Two things are guaranteed to flood your winter-hardened core with a surge of blushing warmth. One is true love. The other one? Booze. You may not have the former, but the Velvet Dog (400 East 31st Street, 816-753-9990) can stoke your fires with the latter: martinis specially concocted for tonight. Love Potion No. 9 is a blend of coconut rum, pineapple juice, a splash of milk and a splash of grenadine. Cupid's Cosmopolitan contains Grand Marnier, cranberry juice, Svedka vodka and a touch of lime. Cranberry juice, Sprite and X-Rated Fusion vodka make up Silk Panties, if you can order a drink by that name with a straight face. Vanilla Kiss is a sweet stirring of Smirnoff Vanilla vodka, pineapple juice and grenadine. Finally, the not-so-subtle Wet Dream mixes Smirnoff Raspberry vodka, Blue Curacao, a splash of sour mix and a layer of raspberry liqueur at the bottom. Here's to hoping for Chambord.
