Pool (or "pocket billiards," as the scientists call it) blends geometry, physics and sometimes booze into something magical. The folks from The Music Man's River City recognized this; the young Tom Cruise in The Color of Money recognized this. Now metro women do, too, thanks to the Women's 8-Ball Tournament tonight at the Hawg Wild Bar and Grill (6505 Nieman Road in Shawnee). In the interest of facilitating drink-special eventualities, Hawg Wild even features two women's restrooms for contestants in the double-elimination match. Contenders 21 and older can sign up at 7:30 p.m. Games begin at 8 p.m. Entry costs $6. For more information, call 913-268-5353.
