Back in 2004, when Lew's Grill & Bar (7539 Wornall, 816-444-8080) first opened, locals believed that Midwest gods had shined upon them and granted Waldo its own Chicago-style bar. Rumor had it that the owners of the long, narrow space with the high ceiling were from the Windy City and had come to KC to serve up Old Style and show Bulls and Bears games. The truth is that brothers Andy and Chris Lewellen are from Kansas City, but that doesn't stop them from welcoming all Chicago fans to check out Cubs games on one of the many plasma and big-screen TVs this season. Come join the 30- to 40-person-strong Old Style KC Cubs Fan Club tonight when Chicago goes up against Cincinnati. Old Style cans are $2 while the game is on. Load up and discuss the future of Angel Guzman or evaluate whether the Cubs need to leave Mesa, Arizona, for greener spring-training pastures. The game begins at 7:05 p.m.
