The tenants of Leawood shopping haven One Nineteen rally together today for the Summer Style Showcase from 6 to 8 p.m. at Soho 119 (4419 West 119th Street). The event is structured around a series of seminars hosted by One Nineteen's retailers on the sunny season's trends for 2009. The workshops, scheduled in 30-minute intervals, offer advice on floral and home decorating; summer hairstyles, makeup and skin care; stress relief and wellness; and tea etiquette. See examples in the four home-décor displays created by Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Z Gallerie and Mitzy London's. There will be appetizers by Sullivan's Steakhouse, North and Soho 119 the Restaurant; handpicked wines by J.P. Wine Bar; and yogurt (summer staple of the skinnies) by new addition Mochi-Yo.
