Today's Urban Farm Tour is a rare opportunity to visit more than 30 farms and gardens — from Shawnee, Kansas, to Independence, Missouri — that bring traditionally rural food-producing techniques to the city. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can use a single ticket ($5 for individuals, $12 for families) to visit the sites in the tour booklet and tour for-profit, nonprofit and other urban-agriculture sites. To purchase tickets, click on brownpapertickets.com/event/57884.
