When did fashion shows become as frequent as barbecues in this cowtown? That's no complaint — Kansas Citians have embraced the runway as an excuse to drink, party and raise money for good causes. Attendees of Fashion for Hope 2 will be doing all those things in high style. The ticket price benefits Hope House, an organization that provides comprehensive services for the victims of domestic abuse while empowering women to break the cycle of violence. Now in its second year, the fashion show, which takes place tonight at Lucky Strike Lanes (1370 Grand), starts at 6 p.m. with a VIP party. Attendees who fork over $65 per ticket will enjoy cocktails, appetizers and reserved seating. A $30 ticket provides entry to the fashion show at 7 p.m. and two drink tickets. The fashion show, by Bella B's Boutique, begins at 8:30. Let's hope Lucky Strike doesn't grease the runway like a bowling lane. Get your ticket at fashionforhope.com.
