For those who doubt that a receding hairline and a beer gut can be sexy, Har Mar Superstar has something to show you. The brief-baring, Los Angeles-based artist otherwise known as Sean Tillmann seems to further hone his outrageously delicious groove with each album, and his fourth full-length, Dark Touches, may be his best one yet. There aren't too many things funnier than a man who's arguably less sexy than a dishrag, sweating his red-cotton undies off while executing kinkier dance moves than most of us would be comfortable thinking about, but every booty in the house is guaranteed to get bouncing at this show. Think of Har Mar as the dance scene's answer to Peaches. His retro-futuristic synth beats with R&B undertones have turned this former indie rocker into a sexual-boundary-blurring hero whom even the most serious music critics just can't deny. KC natives the Beautiful Bodies return from their new NYC home to open.
