So who is Frank Martin, the new K-State b-ball coach? Our sister paper in Miami wrote this cover story in 1998 that exposed how Martin tossed out the rule book while a high school coach. An investigation by the Miami New Times revealed that as many as one-third of White's players were of dubious eligibility.

Martin's biography on K-State's Web site spends two paragraphs bragging about his accomplishments as a high school coach. Somehow, it fails to mention the seedy side of his past in Miami. -- Eric Barton
