Hip-Hop & Hot Wings migrates south this winter, when it relocates from the downtown Peanut to the Record Bar. Final details are still in flux, but Beatbroker is optimistic: while the Peanut had charm, the Record Bar has resources, and with a stage, backstage, and PA system, touring artists can expect well-equipped venue and well-attended welcome. Akil the Emcee of Jurassic 5 inaugurates the first night at the Record Bar on Sunday, October 12th, alongside locals Deep Thinkers. The next scheduled event will be November 2nd. By the first of the year, organizers hope to have a regular, biweekly rhythm of finger-lickin' hip hop. Stay posted.
