The Kansas City Star reported that Alston's father laid him down for a nap but couldn't wake him up later.

If you have any information about Alston's death, call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477 or e-mail me at justin.kendall@pitch.com.

Update (5:12 p.m. Thursday): Also, Charmanie Jamison's death is being counted as a homicide, so that puts Kansas City's total number of homicides at 88.

Fox 4 has a story about Jamison's family and the family of Jamison's boyfriend asking prosecutors to drop charges against the boyfriend. They believe the boyfriend accidentally shot Jamison.
