A brief rundown of some upcoming shows you ought to pencil in -- actually, wait. You know what? Put these suckers on your calendar in pen.

Saturday, April 24 has the "Parental Advisory" tour hitting Aftershock. The tour features the truly awesome, truly inspired pairing of Green Jelly and Nashville Pussy. The mind boggles at the possibility of hearing both "Three Little Pigs" and "Go Motherfucker Go" in the same night. Psychostick opens this 21-and-up show.

Saturday, May 1, is a bill from Sonic Spectrum impresario Robert Moore. The show's "Spring Fling" plays host to some of the area's finest bands when the Pedaljets and Sons Of Great Dane play the Record Bar, in addition to "special guests," to be revealed later. Says Moore in his press release, "The Pedaljets will be playing songs from their upcoming release, which is the first new songs they've written in 20 years."

Davey's Uptown plays host to a bill that will bring back fond memories of when the Outhouse wasn't a strip club, as Antiseen plays there on Friday, May 21. Antiseen's tour mate Joe Buck Yourself brings the bill up to serious rock 'n' roll Armageddon possibility, as do openers Cretin 66 and Billy Squire's Taint. As Cretin themselves put it: "rocknmotherfucknroll."
