Posted By on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 9:00 AM

A man's body was discovered inside an apartment complex in the 4400 Northwest D'Mons Drive Monday evening, sparking a homicide investigation.

The man's co-workers had become concerned about him after he missed

several days of work, leading to Riverside police discovering the man's body inside his apartment around 8:30 p.m.

The victim's name has not been released, but he is described as a black

male in his fifties. Police say there were "signs of violence" on the man and inside the apartment, triggering the homicide investigation.

Police are looking for a red 1994 Chevy pickup truck registered

to the victim. Police are unsure if the

truck is missing or stolen or whether the man loaned the truck

to someone or sold it. Police do not have a license plate number for the truck.

The Metro Squad is assisting with investigation.

If you have information about this man's death, call the TIPS

Hotline at 816-474-8477.
