Who would have guessed that using your personal credit card to subscribe to a Web site called Pedo Heaven would get you in trouble with the feds?

Samuel T. Smith found out the hard way that the feds frown on it. The 44-year-old Platte City admitted in February that he used his credit card to subscribe to child porn sites with names like Pedo Heaven and Dreamzone. His membership gave him access to child porn videos, which he downloaded on his computer. You can see where this is going.

The feds were led to Smith after U.S. Immigration and Customs

Enforcement agents nailed the guy responsible for processing credit card

transactions for Pedo Heaven. The guy rolled on the site, explaining

how it worked and

how payments were processed.

Then Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents

executed a search warrant for the server where one of the child porn Web

sites was hosted. A search of the server turned up child porn images

and videos along with log files showing who accessed the site. When they

were finished with the server, agents knew which subscribers had

accessed specific images and the date and time they did it.

In April 2008, Smith charged $79.99 on his credit card for a membership

to Pedo Heaven. The site's server log files showed that Smith accessed

several child porn videos. Smith also paid $99 for a 30-day subscription

to Dreamzone.

When authorities searched Smith's computer, they found at least 600

kiddie porn images and several movies. Some of the children were younger

than 12. Smith had also printed off 12 pages of images.

Smith was sentenced yesterday to five years in federal prison without

parole.
