Somewhere in Johnson County, an evidence technician is having an awesome end to his summer.
KCTV reports this morning that sheriff's deputies have unearthed 300 pot plants at a home in Mission, the third such bust this in JoCo this month.
Apparently people still watch Weeds?
Neighbors saw a lot of cars on the street around the time of the bust. If they thought it was just a party, they were right. But the party was about to get broken up. From KCTV:
The cars Tegeler saw in front of her home near 52nd Street and ReedsOne neighbor told the TV station they were glad authorities busted their friendly neighborhood pot distributor. Other neighbors would have totally talked but were busy trying to find a new hook-up. (Apparently I still watch Weeds?)
Avenue in Mission turned out to be sheriffs investigators. Authorities
said they found 300 marijuana plants growing inside the home of Todd
and Eva Norman. Both were arrested and charged with cultivation and
sale of marijuana.
"There was a lot of activity there, but I never suspected anything like that," said [neighbor Cindy] Tegeler.
bust marks the third alleged growing operation in Johnson County in
August. Earlier in August, a man was charged after authorities said they
found marijuana and mushrooms inside his Olathe home. A week ago,
Joseph Radetsky was charged after police found close to 100 pot plants
growing in the basement of his Overland Park home.
