  • KC detectives are trying to figure out what happened to Terry Kirtley.

There's a mystery afoot after an Oklahoma man's skull was found in the backyard of a home at 37th and Myrtle.

Kansas City police are trying to figure out how 43-year-old Terry Kirtley died. His skull was discovered on August 28.

Three days later, detectives found his bones in a wooded area just east of where his skull was discovered. Why was the skull so far away from the rest of the bones?

The Star reports

that "the working theory is that a dog dragged the skull

away from the rest of the skeleton."

Kitley was from Commerce, Oklahoma. I searched online for missing

persons info about Kirtley but came up

short.

If you have info that'll help solve this mystery, call the TIPS Hotline at
