From Farmville to farm real?

After months of tending your flock in Farmville, you might start thinking you're ready to move to the real thing.

No problem. Thanks to Craigslist's Farm and Garden listings, you can get everything you need to be an agriculture big-wig without ever leaving your office (assuming, of course, the City Council doesn't shut you down).

Interested in starting your own dairy farm? All you need is $1,000, and you've got yourself a ready-to-squeeze milking cow. You're just a click away from your own fresh cheese.

But if the leap from techno-horticulturist to dairy farmer is a little bit much for you and you want to start smaller, $8 will buy you a soon-to-be-laying hen.

Chances are most of us don't have the space, patience or upper-body strength required to live off the land. But sometimes it's nice to ignore all those incoming e-mails and get back to nature. Or just read an ad for it.
