How do you like your pumpkin seeds?

The best part of carving a jack-o'-lantern is cleaning out the pumpkin

guts -- cutting a hole in the top, reaching in and pulling out all that

slimy, slimy goodness. Very gruesome. Very Halloween.

Plus, then you have pumpkin seeds, which make a delicious

Halloween snack. There's the standard method of roasting them with salt

and oil. Or you can try one of Chow's 10 Ways to Spice Up Pumpkin

Seeds.



The list has some intriguing variations -- including togarashi-spiced

seeds, and seeds flavored with wasabi and coriander. And living in

Kansas City, the barbecue seeds are of particular note. The thought of

loading up some seeds with Gate's Extra Hot Seasoning is mouthwatering.

There's also this list from the Minneapolis City Pages of the top five things to do with pumpkin seeds -- the pumpkin-seed hummus sounds

especially tasty.
