A fired Joplin police officer found a way to beat charges of possessing nude photos and videos of his 17-year-old girlfriend: Marry her.

That's exactly what Jonathan D. White did and prosecutors were forced to drop the charges due to "spousal privilege." See, the teen bride cannot be forced to testify against her husband.

"Without her

testimony, we cannot make the case," prosecutor Dean Dankelson told the Joplin Globe.

Speaking of loopholes, did you know that it was legal for the 24-year-old White to have sex with the 17-year-old girl? The Globe reports that an "incongruity in state laws" allowed White to sex the girl, but photographing and videotaping the acts were a no-no. Who doesn't like mementos?

White's playing it cool. He claims he didn't marry the girl to beat the charges. No, they'd been talking marriage long before.

Yeah, he better say that or he might have an angry wife to deal with.
